Police in Sweden have reportedly arrested a United States rapper, A$AP Rocky, and is being questioned after a fight in in central Stockholm.
The 30 year-old US rapper was captured on video engaged in a brawl in the city where he picked a man from the ground and violently threw him down.
Members of his team are also seen in the video beating and kicking the hapless man.
But the rapper took to social media to deny the allegations against him saying his team was responding to threats.
He posted clips of him and his entourage walking around the streets of Stockholm and were being trailed by two “agitated” young men.
The men repeatedly confront A$AP’s bodyguard, touching him and asking for their headphones.
A$AP, speaking to the camera is heard saying: “We don’t want no problem with these boys they keep following us. Look at them, they keep following us.”
He described the two men as drug addicts.
“So a few drug addicts are not my fans, we don’t know these guys and we didn’t want trouble, they followed us for four blocks, and they were slapping girls’ b***s who passed, give me a break.”
“I’m innocent,” he said.
He was performing at the Smash Festival in Stockholm Stadium before the fight took place.
