Police have reportedly arrested a 21-year-old man in Aarhus in connection with a shooting near Copenhagen that killed two Swedish men last week.
The arrest, according to Danish media, followed a dramatic operation by armed officers in Denmark’s second city.
A preliminary hearing was held at the Glostrup Court.
A 21-year-old and a 23-year-old, both from Sweden, were killed after a shootout last week and police were investigating the matter.
However, police declined to comment on the matter and whether it was connected to the shooting.
Reports from Denmark indicate that the preliminary hearing was conducted behind closed doors and no information relating to potential charges will be made public following the hearing.
The 23-year-old victim was a said to be leading member of a gang known as ‘Snottaz’ from the Rinkeby neighbourhood in Stockholm while the other victim was from Tensta, also near the Swedish capital.
Pistols and automatic weapons were probably used in the shooting that took place at least 12 kilometres northwest central Copenhagen.
