A man, believed to be Russian and only identified himself as Alexander is lucky to be alive after he was dragged by a bear to its den and preparing to eat him.
The Russian speaking man was found by hunters in the province of Tuva near the border with Mongolia.
According to the hunters, they thought he was dead given the condition of his body but were shocked after their dogs stopped and could not move before their investigations discovered it was Alexander.
Alexander has told medics that a broke his back and then dragged him to the den, where it kept him for a future meal.
He claims to have survived for a month by drinking his own urine until the hunting party arrived and took him to hospital.
