Nacka municipality is closing down the Fisksätra school because of quality deficiencies and insecurity.

Quality shortages and insecurity mean that the municipality now chooses to close the school, writes Nacka municipality in a press release. The school’s students and staff will instead be offered places at nearby schools.

– Today, 92 out of 750 schoolchildren in the district Fisksätraskolan choose (to go here), which is far too few, says Mats Gerdau (M), the municipal executive chairman.

The low student base spills over into teaching, according to Nacka municipality.

– This means that the school can no longer offer an education that lives up to the municipality’s requirements, says Einar Fransson, production director at Nacka’s municipal schools.
