First regular direct flight between London, central China’s Zhengzhou to open in June

The first regular direct flight between the central Chinese city of Zhengzhou and the city of London will open on June 25, the China Southern Airlines and the Henan Province Airport Group jointly announced Monday.

It is also the first regular direct flight between Henan Province and western Europe. One roundtrip flight between Zhengzhou and London will be available every Tuesday and Saturday and a one-way trip will take 10-11 hours, six to seven hours shorter than one taken by connecting flights.

Passengers can also transit for Luxembourg at London’s Heathrow Airport thanks to the codeshare agreement between the China Southern Airlines and British Airways.
