Politician implores Sweden not to become famous for deporting highly skilled workers

Although the government has for several years said that the problem would be remedied, highly skilled professionals deportation have continued in 2019, writes Jakob Forssmed (KD), on SvD Debatt.

“The possibility of recruiting globally is central to Swedish companies’ competitiveness and is threatened if it is perceived as insecure and uncertain to work in Sweden and that the prospects can suddenly be withdrawn due to a simple mistake,” he writes.

He added that international business magazine Forbes has now used the Swedish word “kompetensutvisningar” which is a sign the issue is gaining international recognition. DailySweden
