BREAKING: Stefan Löfven voted prime minister of Sweden

Today, the parliament has voted yes to Stefan Löfven as prime minister.

This means that a protracted process to solve a gridlock that was left by a hung parliament has ended today. This means that Sweden’s next government consists of the Social Democrats and the Green Party.

“The Chamber has approved the proposal to appoint Stefan Löfven as Prime Minister,” said speaker Andreas Norlén.
