Stockholm attack victim’s father appeals compensation, says ‘it’s an insult’

The father of 11-year-old Ebba Åkerlund who was killed in the terror attack on Drottninggatan in Stockholm is appealing the compensation offered, saying ‘it’s insulting’, reports TV4 Nyheterna.

According to him, the damages of SEK 60 000 are “an insult”. Instead, he is claiming 150,000 kronor in damages and 150,000 kronor in severance compensation.

His lawyer Thomas Bodström says that the district court has not taken “any consideration of the things that they should have” and refers in particular to the girl’s young age.
